About

I have just completed my doctorate in UCD and I am currently teaching in the UCD School of English, Drama & Film. My research interests include travel literature (in particular travel literature about Ireland), John Millington Synge, Anglo-Irish Literature and Drama, the Irish Revival, postcolonial theory, travel theory, ecocriticism. My doctoral dissertation analyses John Millington Synge’s travel non-fiction – his travel book The Aran Islands and his travel journalism about Ireland. At the moment, I am also co-editing an interdisciplinary volume on the Irish Revival based on the contributions to the conference 'Reconstructing the Revival: Interdisciplinary Approaches'.
